For more than 40 years, Christian Adoption Services has had the privilege of walking alongside hundreds and hundreds of these stories. Every child. Every birth parent. Every adoptive family. Every caseworker. Every volunteer. Every board member. Every donor. Every prayer offered in faith. Together, these stories have become part of something much larger than themselves—a ministry that continues to grow forever families and display God's love to each person we serve.

Every Story Matters is our invitation to meet the people who make this ministry possible. Throughout this campaign, you'll hear directly from birth parents, adoptive parents, adoptees, family members, staff, board members, and donors whose lives have been forever shaped by adoption. Their experiences are different, yet each one reveals another glimpse of God's faithfulness and the lasting impact of choosing life, offering hope, and walking alongside others with compassion.

These are not simply stories about adoption. They are stories about people who trusted God through uncertainty, opened their hearts and homes, and chose courage over fear. People whose lives have been forever changed because someone else was willing to say "yes."

​For nearly four decades, Dan DeKrey has carried a story that began with a phone call.

After years of infertility, Dan and his wife, Anne, found themselves searching for answers, searching for hope, and searching for a family. Through a series of conversations, connections, and what Dan simply describes as God's providence, they found Christian Adoption Services.
Eighteen months later, they received the call that would change their lives forever.

"We've got a baby for you."

Their son, Andrew, arrived first. Four years later, their daughter, Allison, joined the family. What began as uncertainty became a family legacy—one that continues to shape generations.

Today, Dan serves on the Board of Directors for Christian Adoption Services, but long before he was a board member, donor, or volunteer, he was simply an adoptive father whose life was forever changed by the ministry of adoption.

Looking back, Dan sees God's hand woven through every chapter of the story. A cousin who introduced them to CAS. A social worker who walked alongside them. A waiting season that required faith. A son who, decades later, would reconnect with his birth family and discover extraordinary connections that only God could orchestrate.

"The lives this organization has touched, the families it has helped create—that's the reward," Dan says. "That's why we're here."

For more than 40 years, Christian Adoption Services has been helping write stories like Dan's. Stories of birth mothers choosing life. Stories of adoptive families welcoming children home. Stories of children growing into adults who know they are deeply loved.
