Jordan & Caitlyn

Married: 2018

Children already in the home: We have one biological son named Hank who joined our family in July of 2019. Hank he is our tender hearted, thoughtful, “hold my hand” loving little boy. He loves anything with wheels and  “all the sports” (direct quote when asked what his favorite sport is). He’s currently enjoying basketball and swimming lessons. He also loves to conduct science experiments in the kitchen, ride his bike, and read stories. He’s very excited and ready to be a big brother!

Occupations: Jordan works as a Journeyman Electrician for a small company that specializes in residential construction and has been with them his whole career. Caitlyn has been working as a clinical dental hygienist for 11 years. She’s split her career between community dental as well as private general dentistry.

Education: Jordan has an electrical degree and Caitlyn has a degree in dental hygiene.

Where we live: We are in a rural township that has all the benefits of a small town and school district paired with the convenience and opportunities that come with a large metropolitan area only 15 minutes away. We live in an established, quiet neighborhood in a humble house built in 1979.  We love being in a quiet area and feel very fortunate to live in a neighborhood with young children, close to parks and in a school district where all the teachers and staff know your child by name.

Ethnicity: Jordan is of Norwegian decent. Caitlyn is of German and French decent.

Religious affiliation/practice: We attend a nondenominational church and enjoy staying active not only in the church but in our community. It’s our priority to ensure that our children grow up knowing the love and grace of God.

Health: Both Conan and Kelsey are in good health.

Child care plan: With our son we decided to have him in a home daycare as an infant and then moved him into a small center when he was around the age of three and we plan on doing the same with all of our children. Caitlyn only works Monday- Thursday and enjoys being able to stay home and pull them out of daycare on Fridays!

School Preference: We largely chose our community for the excellent educational opportunities in town, Hank is currently attending the public school in town and has been thriving. We really enjoy our public school system and feel very fortunate to live where we do.

Hobbies/Interests:
Jorden enjoys being with family and friends, staying active- he is in an old man basketball and softball league. He enjoys coaching Hank’s basketball team, doing puzzles, fishing, hunting, watching TV series/movies and will dabble in video games.

Caitlyn also enjoys being with family and friends. She loves arts and crafts, a strong cup of coffee, volunteering and reading- she loves a wide variety of genres like romance, historical fiction, thriller/suspense, if it’s a non-fiction book though it’s going to have to be listened to as an audiobook. She really enjoys cooking for her family and has especially enjoyed making things from scratch. She loves to work out and stay active.

Pets:  We have two dogs- a border collie and a golden doodle.

Additional Comments: If you’re reading this and you’re feeling overwhelmed and scared, please take this small moment to remember and feel how much God loves you. We want you to know that long before we decided on the adoption journey, we have been praying for you. We pray that you feel Gods love, grace and guidance as you’re faced with so many decisions.

Becoming parents has easily been one of our biggest blessings and we have so much love to give to another child. Our family is ready to extend through the love of adoption. If you choose to place your child, we would be honored to have the opportunity to meet you.

Dear Expectant Parent(s),

If you're reading this, it must mean that you are weighing options for you and your child. First and foremost, we want to say that we think you are incredibly brave and selfless, no matter what decision you make. We're not sure how you're feeling right now but please take a moment to remember and feel how deeply God loves you. We want you to know that long before we started our adoption journey, we were praying for you. We pray that you feel God's love, grace, and guidance as you face so many decisions and unknowns.

This territory is very new to us, and there are many uncertainties about what the future may hold. But one thing we know for certain is that becoming parents has been one of the greatest blessings of our lives, and we have so much love to give to another child. If you choose to place your child and consider our family, we guarantee that they won't have perfect parents. What we can promise you is this: they will have two loving parents who are united as a team, ready to face every challenge together. Your child will have parents who are quick to apologize when we don't get it right the first time. They will have parents who obnoxiously cheer them on, are hands on and involved in all aspects of their lives. Above all, they will be loved unconditionally.

We promise to do everything in our power to give them the opportunities to explore their interests, whatever they may be. We will encourage and foster the space and freedom for them to become who God made them to be. We believe in the importance of keeping an open line of communication, grounded in mutual trust, so they grow up feeling loved, heard, and understood. We also promise that you will always be honored, cherished, and respected.

We have a spunky and wild, gentle and loving son, Hank, who is SO excited to become a big brother! He talks about it all the time and is already thinking of ways to share his toys and love with his new sibling. He's very certain that he is going to have bunk beds with his new brother or sister.

We have gotten to this season in our life through many years of infertility. As difficult as it was to hear that we would not be able to have more biological children of our own, we feel blessed that God used that heartache to soften and ready our hearts for where He needed us to go. We are thankful that He kept and continues to keep the desire in our hearts to grow our family and are excited to extend our family through the love and blessings of adoption.

Jf you choose to place your child with us, we would be honored and humbled to have the opportunity to meet you and get to know you better. Thank you for considering us to step alongside you in this journey. We are praying for you and your baby, regardless of what decision you find best moving forward.

With love, respect, and gratitude,

Jordan & Caitlyn
