Giving Hearts Day is the largest 24-hour giving event in North Dakota and Northwest Minnesota. Each year, thousands of people rally around hundreds of nonprofits in our community saying, “count me” as a Giving Heart for charity. The longest-running giving day in the country, Giving Hearts Day has helped participating charities raise more than $70 million since its founding.
How do I participate?
Matching Gifts: In January, friends of CAS step up as "match" donors, rallying to have greater impact on February 13th, the 24-hr day of giving. In 2019, CAS had $10,100 in matching funds to further the dollar amount on Giving Hearts Day. This year's goal is $12,000 and checks can have "GHD match" in the memo or online donations are welcome in any amount.
Scheduled Gifts: You are now able to conveniently schedule online donations for Giving Hearts Day 2020 by making a donation at GivingHeartsDay.org anytime from Jan. 6 - Feb. 11, 2020. You just need to ensure that the "Schedule This Gift" box is checked when reviewing your cart before completing their transaction, and create a donor account if you don't have an existing one.
February 13th Gifts: This is the original 24-hr giving event opportunity! Give online starting at midnight and gifts will be matched based on our generous matching funds. In 2019 you raised a grand total of $24,255, exceeding our goal of $21,000.
Chili Cook-off: Enter your best chili recipe or register to come eat a free supper and celebrate the generous day of giving. Event is from 5-7:30pm for families to come and go as they can. Hosted at Hope Lutheran's south campus 3636 25th St S, Fargo.
