Justin & Chelsey

Married: 2009

Children already in the home: Blake is a biological son who is 5 years old, Tenley is a biological daughter who is 4 years old and Thea is a biological daughter who is 1 year old.

Occupations: Justin co-founded a technology company that he runs full time and employs around 65 people. Chelsey has worked in customer service and has been an office manager. She now stays home with their three children.

Education: Justin attended 2 years of business school. Chelsey has a BA in Business Administration with a minor in Management.

Where we live: We recently built a house a few miles out of town in a quiet neighborhood. It is a good mix of retired couples and young couples with kids. Our house sits on an acre and a half of land, which gives the kids lots of room to play and run.

Ethnicity: Justin – Irish; Chelsey –German

Religious affiliation/practice: We attend an Assembly of God church in our town, which Chelsey has gone to since birth. We have worked in the youth department but currently work with the nursery and preschool ministries. Our children attend kid’s church every Sunday morning, while we are in Sunday service. We are also a part of a fantastic small group with 8 other couples who all have kids around the same age. We have become very close with them and are enjoying doing life together.

Health: Great health for all.

Child care plan: Chelsey currently stays home with Blake, Tenley, and Thea and plans to continue doing that. When we do need care during the day for appointments or at night, we take the children to our parents or sibling’s houses.

School preference: Our plan is to send Blake to a private Christian school and Tenley will be attending preschool there as well.

Return to Waiting Families

Dear Birthparent(s):

We are Justin and Chelsey, and we want to sincerely thank you for taking the time to read this letter and look through our book. We know that this is an extremely difficult time for you, and we admire your strength and courage.  You have made a selfless and beautiful decision to choose life for your child. We hope that as you read this letter you start to get to know us and how much we respect you.

We met in high school and were married our second year in college. We went through almost two years of infertility when we were first married and lost our first child to a miscarriage. We begun to look at the possibility of adoption, but realized God had other plans when we found out we were expecting our son. We had our second and third child, both girls and both biological, but still felt that God was calling us to adopt.

We look forward to adding to our family. Our children can not wait have a little brother or sister. It has always been our dream to raise our children to follow their dreams. Justin is passionate about teaching our children how to fix anything, just like his father taught him. Chelsey desires to raise our children to become great at whatever they set their minds to. We also hope that we can travel all over to let our children experience other places and cultures.

If you choose us to parent your child, we want to make two promises to you. The first is that your child will always have everything they need. The second is that we will always surround them with unfailing love.

We also promise to make it a priority that they know how deep your love for them is. We want them to know about the selfless decision that you have made. As the child grows up, they will know their story of where they came from and who you are. We want you to know that if it is your desire to have a more open relationship after the adoption, that is something we would honor and work together on.

We want to thank you again for taking time to read our letter and look through our book. We cannot express in words how much we respect you and your decision to choose life for your baby. We are humbled and honored to be considered for this great gift. We sincerely hope that we get a chance to meet you. You will be in our thoughts and prayers.

In Christ,

Justin & Chelsey
