Stefan & Christina

Married: 2004

Children already in the home: Hannah is our biological daughter who is 8 years old.  Arlo is our 5-year-old son who was adopted at one month of age.

Occupations: Stefan is a manager at technology company and business owner. Christina stays at home with the kids.

Where we live: We live in a neighborhood tucked in by looped roads. There are many families around us that also have children of similar ages as our children. The larger city that we are a part of is full of opportunities of free family events as well as many cultural experiences.

Ethnicity: Our family consists of Scottish, English, Irish, German, Jewish, Swiss, Norwegian, and Latino

Religious affiliation: We attend a church that is less than a mile from our house. It is a non-denominational church that teaches God’s true word. We are also a part of a small group that meets regularly twice a month.

Health: Good health for all.

Child care plan: Christina will continue to stay home with the children and there will be no need for child care.

School preference: We have, in the past, done home school, and private school and currently public school. We will continue to assess each child’s needs and make adjustments to help them thrive in their learning.

Hobbies/Interests:  Christina – Outside activities with family; learning Sign-Language; attending Bible Study Fellowship, and baking with the kids.  Stefan – Hunting, outdoor family activities, gardening/landscaping, and cooking.

Pets: We have two dogs. Levi is 13 years old. Penga is 12 years old.

Additional comments: We are excited to welcome the newest member of our family. We’re eagerly joined by many close friends and relatives that have also chosen adoption to grow their families. It’s a wonderful support and care network in which we and our children share similar life experiences.
Return to Waiting Families
Dear Expectant Parent(s):

Thank you for choosing life, for choosing love, for choosing to walk through what we can only imagine must be the hardest decision of a lifetime and for doing it with compassion, grace, openness and honor. Your courage and love are witnessed by your choice to make an adoption plan for your child and we have such admiration and respect for you.

We knew adoption was in our family plan from an early age, before we met or were married. We were blessed with a true miracle by the birth of our daughter after years of struggle with pregnancy, and after several more years realized God was sending us the signals that adoption is His plan for our family as well. Soon after we were blessed with our second miracle, our son, through adoption. Growing our family by adoption is something our whole family is thrilled by and the kids can hardly wait for a baby brother or sister!

We want to pour our love and life into this child, to share their dreams and hopes, support their goals, and give them the assurance that they will always have a place to call home. We love to travel as a family as well as enjoy the simple things like dinner together every night, gathering with family and friends, and our night-time routine of books, snuggles, prayer, and the occasional sing-along. On any given day you will find us playing “tickle-monster”, playing board games, having dance parties, and going for bike rides and hikes with the dogs.

If you choose us to raise your child, we would honor your decision by loving and supporting your child every day of their life and by supporting your special connection and place in their life. We tell our kids we love them for who they are, and that they have so much to be proud of, every day. Your child will share in this and know that your love is what brought us all together.

Thank you for making an adoption plan and for considering us to be part of that plan. We admire your strong act of love and courage and hope to one day meet you. Please know we are praying for you, your child, and your decisions. It is our prayer and hope that you are held in love in support during this season of life.

With Gratitude,

Stefan and Christina
